How We Use Cookies

Wingbase uses cookies and similar browser storage for the limited purposes described below.

Essential Storage

Authentication and session state depend on browser storage used by Clerk and by Wingbase's session handling. Blocking this storage can prevent sign-in or other authenticated features from working.

Functional Storage

Limited interface state: The app can remember whether its sidebar is open or closed.
Referral attribution: When a link contains an approved referral value, Wingbase stores a first-party cookie so a later signup can be attributed to that entry point.

Analytics and Performance

The web application loads Google Analytics on marketing pages and Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights across the site. PostHog is also initialized when it is configured for the production site. These tools measure page visits, navigation, performance, and selected product events. PostHog is configured to use local storage and cookies while automatic capture and session recording remain disabled.

Third-Party Services

Some of the storage described above is managed by services Wingbase loads for authentication, analytics, and performance measurement. This includes Clerk, Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, and PostHog when configured. Their use of cookies or similar storage is also governed by their own configurations and privacy policies.

How Long Storage Remains

Duration depends on the storage's purpose and the service that manages it. Storage may end with a browser session, expire after a configured period, be removed on sign-out, or remain until you clear it. Wingbase does not apply one duration to every cookie or similar storage item.

Managing Cookies

You have several options for managing cookies:

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings:

Block all cookies
Block only third-party cookies
Clear cookies when you close your browser
Accept cookies from specific websites only

Note: Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of Wingbase, including signing in to your account.

Cookie Preferences

Wingbase displays a cookie preference banner on your first visit to marketing pages. You can accept or reject analytics cookies (Google Analytics and PostHog). Essential cookies for sign-in are always active and cannot be disabled here. To update your choice later, use the Cookie preferences link in the site footer. You can also use your browser settings to block or clear all cookies and similar storage.

Do Not Track

Wingbase does not currently change cookie or analytics behavior automatically in response to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. Use the browser controls described above if you want to block or clear cookies and similar storage.
